Banish that Bad Breath

Bad breath annoys everyone. In fact, it makes people judge the ones who have it. But, have you ever wondered if you have bad breath? There is a self-test to find out if your breath stinks. Link the back of your hand and smell it after, say, a count of 5. You will know.

Even if you don’t have bad breath, take precautions so that you don’t ever end up annoying people. What should you do? For starters, follow a good dental care routine.

You must keep your mouth clean almost all the time if you don’t want someone to hold his/her breath while talking to you. Brush after your meals. Rinse your mouth thoroughly every time you eat or deink something. Make sure that you do not skip any part of the daily dental care. Make the tasks of brushing, flossing, and tongue scrapping as important as eating and sleeping.

The kind of food you eat also determines the smell in your mouth. If you consume foods with strong smell like onion and garlic, you must take care to clean your mouth all the more. Use a good mouthwash. If you are certain that the food causes the bad breath, refrain from eating such food.

Try to cut down on drinking beverages containing caffeine and eating sugary and starchy food. These food are stubborn that stick to your mouth making it difficult to clean. The bacteria flourish in the minute particles of food left in your mouth.

If you have bad breath in spite of all the effort you put in, see your doctor. Certain medicines also cause your mouth to stink.

Make it a point to visit your dentist and everything should be alright.

Happy smiling!
