Practicing good oral hygiene and keeping away from certain habits can prevent oral cancer. However, most of us are not even aware of the severity of the diseases. Like any cancer, oral cancer is dangerous and can be fatal if left unattended.

Let me introduce you to the symptoms of the disease.

  • Swelling on the inside of the cheek

  • Red or white patches on the lips or inside the mouth
  • Blister on the lips or inside the mouth
  • Sudden voice change

Make sure to visit your dentist every six months for check-ups. If you notice any dental problem at any time, get it treated at the earliest.

Oral cancer is typically treated with chemotherapy, radio therapy, and surgery. Don’t let your habits cause you the pain of the disease. Start following a proper dental care routine today. Seek advice from your dentist on complete oral care. And never ignore the slightest hint of a dental problem.
