Can you define teeth?
Have you ever wondered how one would define teeth? Have you ever tried defining the white jewels in your mouth? We picked up a bunch of interesting definitions of teeth off the internet. Enjoy!
“TEETH ARE small white structures found in the jaws (or mouths) of many vertebrates that are used to tear, scrape, milk and chew food. Some animals, particularly carnivores, also use teeth for hunting or defense. The roots of teeth are covered by gums.” – Source: Wikipedia
“SMALL SHARP points along the cutting side of the saw” – Source: spiritus-temporis.com
“THE CUTTING ridges on the file’s surface” – Source: idglink.com
“NOTCHES ON the outer edge of a leaf” – Source: arborday.com
“A SERIES OF alternating projections and indentations along the margin of a leaf; likened to the cutting edge of a saw; may be coarse, fine, or double, etc.” – Source: drake.edu
While we are at it, can you help come up with a definition of teeth? Well, here’s the first one from us:
Teeth are white, bone-like strong fixtures in our mouth that give our face a shape and help us consume food. They also help us express – through the spoken language and otherwise.
We cannot deny the importance of teeth in our lives. The absence of teeth will make us helpless. We can spare a few minutes everyday to take care of the pearly whites. Regular visits to the dentist will help us keep our teeth strong and healthy for as long as we live.
Happy smiling!
