Hilarious, isn’t it? How can the dentist ever treat your headache? It’s true, the teeth can cause your head to ache and your dentist can treat that headache by treating your teeth.

It’s not that every headache has a dental connection. But some do, so you should know how to tell which kind of headache needs a visit to the dentist. A headache with a dental connection will be accompanied by some other signs. Here’s the list:

  • You feel some pain behind the eyes and in the ears.

  • You find that your head has become sensitive to touch.
  • You can hear a clicking sound in the jaw bones.
  • Your jaw appears stiff.
  • You feel dizzy at times.
  • You feel buzzing in your ears.
  • You have started grinding your teeth.
  • You have started clenching your teeth.

OK, but what causes the headache in the first place? It is the misalignment of your teeth with the jaw bones.

Now, can teeth alignment be rectified? Yes, your dentist will be able to fix the alignment problem, rescuing you of the headache and dental problems that could have happened in the future.

Don’t laugh if somebody you know goes to the dentist for a headache. Happy smiling!
