Do You Shy Away From Dental Care?

Published by Wayzata Dental Staff at 10:52 am under Dental Care

Why is dental care so pathetic? Well, it is not. It is exactly the same as taking care of your body. You don’t find everyday bathing pathetic; why are you so averse to the idea of everyday brushing. Do I hear you grumbling about the word ‘routine’ that follows ‘dental care’. Well, it is up to you how you take it. Don’t consider taking care of your smile as part of a dull routine. Let’s make dental care interesting, shall we? Let me share some of the things I have come up with and then you send your tips.

What is the first thing you do when you get up in the morning? OK, I don’t want to know that. When you next stare into the mirror in the morning, don’t go for your toothbrush and toothpaste. Drink a glass of lukewarm water instead. This will not only help you rinse your mouth but also cleanse your body of toxins. Does this mean you can skip brushing? Not at all, dear. Just delaying the action by five minutes.

Next, brush, floss, and scrape! When you are done, use your index finger to rub your teeth and gums. How does that help? Well, this helps increase the blood circulation in the gums.

In the later part of the day, when you have some time, stand in front of the mirror and smile at it. Now look at the kind of smile it returns. Is the smile stained or yellow? Does it have cracks? If there is any reason you don’t like the smile the mirror throws at you, seek an appointment with the dentist.

Once every week, probably on a Sunday, dip your index finger into some baking soda and give your teeth a gentle rub. This will make your teeth sparkle instantly.

Rinse your mouth well and gulp down a glass of water every time you have coffee. Make it a habit to rinse your mouth after you have consumed anything.

If you are looking for an instant cleanser, buy apples and carrots from a supermarket near you and bite into them.

Happy smiling!
