Five Interesting Dental Care Tips
I am obsessed with sticking to the basics in dental care. And, why not? Dental care is not about fancy electric toothbrushes, brushing stations, multi-flavored toothpastes and tooth-gels, fancy flosses, oral irrigators and the like. Though all these products mean well, they can’t help if you are not serious about taking care of your teeth. My advice is getting back to the basics of keeping your teeth and mouth clean. However, the purpose of this post today is not harping about brushing and flossing. Today, I will share with you five simple and extremely interesting ways to take care of your teeth.
- Go green! Sip two cups of green tea every day. Studies have found that green tea kills the bacteria in plaque, preventing dental caries.
- Act cheesy! Eat a cube of cheese after your meal to neutralize the effects of the acids from the meal you just had.
- Chomp on! Chew on anise seeds to get rid of bad breath instantly.
- Polish! Rub pieces of strawberries on your teeth. They work as an instant whitener.
- Pop in! Put a green cardamom in your mouth when you feel you have bad breath. Chew on it slowly. This will get freshen up your breath instantly.
Simple, aren’t they? As I said earlier, dental care does not mean visiting stores and buying fancy gadgets. Just follow the tips mentioned above along with a proper dental care routine. Also, make sure that you keep your appointment with your dentist every six months.
Happy smiling!
