Follow a dental care routine and save your heart
Tomorrow is World Heart Day. Why am I saying this in a dental blog? Well, a latest study says that brushing your teeth can reduce the risk of developing a heart disease. Click here to read the report.
However, one does not need to study the report to establish the link between poor oral hygiene to heart problems. Poor dental care may lead to infections in the gum that may further damage the blood vessels. The blood vessels inside the mouth can carry harmful bacteria to the heart, thereby increasing the risk of a heart disease.
No, we do not mean to scare you. The simple logic behind all this is that the parts of the human body are inter-connected and dependent on one another. Thus, it is important to take care of the whole body and not ignore or isolate any part of the body, however insignificant it may appear. And you mouth is definitely not insignificant. It is the window to your whole being. Your speech, your smile, your face contribute significantly to who you are.
Then, a few minutes everyday on dental care cannot be called asking for too much. Set-up your make-up kit, arrange your clothes, choose your shoes and accessories, but before that spend a few minutes grooming your smile. Let your smile win hearts all over.
What do you need to do for that? Simple.
- Follow a proper dental care routine.
- Eat healthy.
- Visit your dentist regularly.
Happy smiling!
