Get the Dentist on Your Side
It is good to keep your dentist on your side. The reason is obvious, isn’t it? You don’t want him/her to take his/her anger or frustration on you. Now, imagine your dentist had a very stubborn patient immediately before you. You cannot expect him/her to be nice to you at that moment. However, if you prove to be the best patient he/she ever had, you have chances of not only saving yourself but also of making his/her day. Today, we will tell you how to please your dentist.
- Listen to what your dentist has to say. Pay attention to every advice he/she offers. And don’t just hear, follow it. Failure to follow any of his/her instructions may cost you dearly. You know what I mean.
- Follow a proper dental care routine. Well, this is for your own good. You don’t want your dentist to drill holes in your mouth or extract teeth. Brush and floss your teeth regularly. Keep your tongue clean and hydrated.
- Eat what your dentist recommends. Along with giving you instructions on brushing, flossing, and post-treatment care, your dentist will prescribe to you certain foods. Snacking on such food may prove better than medication.
- Never miss your dental appointments. Don’t prioritize other tasks over the appointment with your dentist.
- Thank him/her profusely. It may be his/her job, but if he/she does not do it sincerely, you are gone! So, thank him/her for the comfortable, painless experience at the clinic.
- Make him/her feel special. Greet him/her on Dentists’ Day. March 6 is Dentists’ Day. Call up, e-mail, or leave a message on the day.
