Going to the Dentist Shouldn’t Mean Getting Ready for a Fight

Let’s face it, some people have this sort of notion about going to the dentist:

(source)I used to love going but today, no dentist makes me bleed my own blood. That’s right, were at war. I think it began, when I was 10 and she just scraped that tooth just right for me to have a resounding bite down on her thumb. Who’s at fault? Well, obviously not me.”

First, we have to say that there is always going to be a risk of gums bleeding or pain when you have dental work done. However, that doesn’t mean that every dentist is out to get you.

Some dentists have gone so far as to look at what they can do to make the experience better for their patients. At Wayzata Dental we make our patient’s comfort a priority – right alongside providing the best dental care possible.

Patients who are nervous about seeing the dentist often end up needing more work done; we think it’s better if our patients are relaxed and associate time at the dentist with self-care (because that’s what it is). We don’t really want a battle; do you?
