Habits You Should Adopt For a Healthy Smile

If you follow a proper dental care routine and visit your dentist regularly, you really don’t need to do anything else for that perfect smile. I am sure you already sport a disarming, charming smile. But if you are not happy with the way your smile looks, you need to adopt the following habits from today.

  • Brush after every meal. This helps your mouth clean. Make sure you brush before going to bed. Spend at least three minutes brushing your teeth, every time.

  • Brush at least an hour after a meal. Brushing too soon will harm your teeth.
  • Use a toothbrush with soft bristles. Change it every three months. Change it earlier if the bristles look tattered.
  • Clean your tongue using a tongue scrapper once a day. Make sure you do not scrape too hard.
  • Floss your teeth immediately after you have brushed. This will help keep the mouth clean.
  • Rinse your mouth after eating or drinking anything.
  • Drink 8-10 glasses of water throughout the day. This will keep your mouth clean and hydrated.
  • Eat fruits instead of drinking their juice.
  • Use a straw when drinking a sweet beverage.
  • Eat at least one dairy product everyday.
  • Eat fruits and vegetables everyday. They will provide you all the necessary nutrients for healthy teeth and a sparkling smile.
  • Eat sweets only during your meals. Avoid snacking on sweets between meals.
  • See your dentist at least once in six months.

They aren’t really difficult to follow, are they? You jut need to spend a few minutes on your pearly whites everyday.
