How to Take Care of Your Teeth
Brushing, flossing, and tongue-cleaning are the foundation of dental care. But there are a lot of other things you can do to keep your teeth healthy and that smile perfect. No, we are not asking you to run to your dentist every now and then. A visit every six months is just fine unless you notice a cause for concern. I am actually talking about some dental care tips that are simple to follow and add that icing to the basic dental care. Here is what I am asking you to do.
- Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday. This not only keeps your mouth clean and hydrated but also boosts your overall health.
- Rinse your mouth after consuming anything. You cannot possibly brush every time you pop something in your mouth. Make it a habit to rinse the mouth thoroughly after you have eaten or drunk anything.
- Leave a gap of at least one hour after a meal before brushing your teeth. This is extremely important if you don’t want erode the surface of your teeth.
- Change your toothbrush every three months. An old, tattered brush does not remain effective in cleaning your teeth.
- Eat a fruit instead of drinking its juice. You get all the nutrients of the fruit including fiber. Moreover, you save your teeth from the erosion juices can cause. If you ever have to drink juice, use a straw.
- Rub your gums with a finger after you have brushed to ease the blood circulation.
- Drink milk or consume a milk product everyday. This will help you get the much-needed calcium for the teeth.
These aren’t really difficult to follow, are they? Happy smiling!
