Is Your Bad Breath Chasing People Away?
I am sure you squirm when someone with a bad breath talks to you. Are you making others squirm when you talk? It is difficult finding out one’s problem but there is a way you can find out if you have bad breath. Lick the back of your hand, count till ten, and smell it. If it stinks, so does your mouth.
You know what I would suggest to avoid that bad breath. Yes, follow a good dental care routine, everyday! Don’t crib. If you don’t take a bath everyday, you body will stink. Then why ignore your mouth?
Keep your mouth clean at all times. If you can taste food in your mouth long after you have eaten, you are most probably sporting bad breath! Make sure that you clean your mouth after your meals and even between meals after you snack. Cleaning the mouth involves cleaning the teeth, the tongue, and the gums. So, make sure that you do not skip any part of the daily dental care. Brush, floss, and scrape for healthy teeth and fresh breath.
The kind of food you eat also triggers bad breath. If you love onion and garlic, you have to pay more attention to dental care. Use a good mouthwash. Cut down on drinking beverages containing caffeine and eating sugary and starchy food. These food are stubborn that stick to your mouth making it difficult to clean. The bacteria flourish in the food debris in the mouth and make your mouth stink.
See your dentist regularly to rule out any problem in your gums and teeth. If you continue to have bad breath in spite of regular oral care, your dentist may ask you to see your doctor who will find the underlying cause of the problem. But remember, you have to start with the dental care routine!
Happy smiling!
