Keep the Dentist on Your Side
Your dentist can make or break more than your day. He/she has the power to relieve you of your pain or give you unbearable pain. Given an option, which one will you go for? Well, anyone can tell you that keeping the dentist on your side is a safe bet. Is your dentist on your side? Not sure? Here’s what you have to do in order to make sure he is.
Pay attention to what he/she says. Yes, listen to him/her. Listen to him/her whether he/she is asking you to visit again or eat certain foods, instructing you to brush properly or asking you to move your head/chin in a direction. Imagine thinking about something else when the dentist asks you to move your chin or open your mouth. You are in for big trouble if you are not listening.
Never miss your appointments with him/her. Have you noticed the dentist frown if you visit him/her after you have missed an appointment? You should know that your dentist will give your dental health as much importance as you give to it. Don’t keep a lunch date at the same time as your dental appointment. Your dates may come and go; your dentist is here to stay.
Eat according to your dentist. Well, your dentist knows what is good for your teeth. So, along with giving you instructions on brushing, flossing, and post-treatment care your dentist may prescribe to you certain foods. Listen to him/her that tell him/her that you do.
Also, never forget the pleasantries. Don’t forget to smile and thank him/her every time you meet him/her even if it is outside the clinic. It is your dentist who is responsible for that scintillating smile in a big way.
Happy smiling!
