Simple Tips Towards a Scintillating Smile
Dental care is really simple, and yet we tend to crib about how we don’t find time to take care of our dental health. Tired of me ‘sermonizing’ about brushing and flossing? OK, let me talk about some different dental care tips today.
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your mouth salivated. This prevents the formation of bacteria.
- Use a small-headed toothbrush so that it reaches the far corners in your mouth.
- Use a mixture of baking soda and salt for whitening your teeth in a jiffy.
- Eat a lot of fiber. Make roughage a part of every meal of yours. This helps clean your mouth and takes care of your overall health.
- Develop the habit of rinsing your mouth after you have consumed something.
- Change your toothbrush every three months. If the bristles look tattered at any time, change the toothbrush immediately.
- Leave a gap of an hour between a meal and brushing. The teeth are extremely vulnerable after a meal. Brushing immediately after a meal leads to teeth erosion.
- Spend at least two-three minutes brushing your teeth. Play your favourite song while you brush.
- When hungry, bite into a carrot or an apple. They help cleanse your mouth along with satisfying that hunger.
- Opt for fruits instead of fruit juices. The fiber in the fruit helps keep the tongue clean which further keep the bacteria at bay.
OK, I cheated. I did talk about brushing, in an indirect way though. Sermonizing again, am I? Well, I will try not to in the next post.
Happy smiling!
