Which toothpaste is for you?
Walk into any supermarket and try picking up a toothpaste in one shot. If you are not loyal to one brand or one flavor, you may spend 10-15 minutes looking for the right one. The number and variety of toothpastes available in the market can puzzle anyone. Let us look at what the oral care industry has to offer:
- Whitening toothpaste: This one is definitely the most wanted toothpaste.
- Fresh breath toothpaste: This toothpaste is a must for people who want to get rid of bad breath.
- Toothpaste for sensitive teeth: This one is important for people with sensitive teeth.
- Anti-plaque toothpaste: This one is a strong toothpaste to help you prevent plaque formation on the teeth.
- Anti-tartar toothpaste: This toothpaste is a great deterrent for tartar.
- Fluoride toothpaste: This is an essential one for those that do not have access to driniking water that has fluoride.
- Gum disease preventative toothpaste: This one is ideal for those who are prone to gum diseases.
- Flavored toothpaste for children: This one goads children into brushing their teeth.
Now, if you glance at the above-mentioned list again, you will realize that one would need to use more than one toothpaste at a time. Who would want white teeth but not fresh breath or fresh breath but plaque on the teeth? So, how do you pick one toothpaste from amongst the lot? As we always say, ask your dentist! Depending on what your teeth require, your dentist will recommend a toothpaste for you.
Happy smiling!
