Why is it important to prevent tooth decay?

Tooth decay implies that the bacteria prospering in your mouth are causing your teeth to rot. Tooth decay is dreadful and should be avoided as much as possible.

Why is tooth decay horrifying?

  • Tooth decay is painful.

  • Tooth decay causes loss of teeth.
  • Tooth decay snatches away the smile.
  • The decay may trigger other oral and dental diseases.

How can tooth decay be prevented?

  • Brush at least twice a day, preferably after meals.

  • Brush before you go to bed.
  • Clean your tongue everyday.
  • Floss once everyday.
  • Rinse your mouth after eating or drinking.
  • Eat balanced meals. Cut down on sugary food.
  • Cut down on alcohol consumption and smoking.
  • Keep all the appointments with your dentist.
